Linux Kernel Upgrade Nov 24 [SIN3]

Omega8.cc has announced the following emergency maintenance:

Start Date: Sunday, Nov 24, 2013 03:00 AM (SGT)
End Date: Sunday, Nov 24, 2013 06:00 AM (SGT)

Locations: SIN3 – KDDI Singapore

During this maintenance window, Omega8.cc engineers will be performing emergency reboot on all machines requiring custom Linux kernel security upgrade. Expected downtime depends on the possible hardware reconfiguration on some machines and may take 5 to 15 minutes on an average.

While the vulnerability doesn’t affect our systems directly, thanks to our secure configuration with limited shell access, we always take all released security issues seriously and upgrade all theoretically affected systems anyway, as soon as possible.
